CLUB RULES &
REGULATIONS
Dress
Shoes and clothing must be recognised tennis wear.
Jeans, leggings, beachwear, etc., are not
acceptable.
Court usage
These rules are on the notice board in the
Clubhouse. Please read them. In general, Senior
Members have priority on courts 1,2 & 3, and Junior
Members on courts 4 & 5. All courts may be used for
competitions sanctioned by the Committee.
At any time when all courts are in use Members
must not play singles when other members are
waiting, they should play short sets of not more
than 20 minutes.
Keys
Members may obtain a key to the Stirling Road gate,
and Senior Members to the Clubhouse, from the
Subscription Secretary. There is a refundable
deposit of £3.00.
Hours of Play
Play under floodlights must cease by 10.00 pm
Junior Members
Please see Court Usage Rules on the Clubhouse notice
board.
Junior Members have priority on Courts 4 & 5
except when matches and match practices are in
progress; then, Senior Members have priority on
Court 4 all evening, while Juniors have precedence
on Court 5 until 8.30 pm.
Only if Courts 4 & 5 are in use may Juniors
use Courts 3,2, & 1,(in that order). Senior
Members have the right, except during matches, to
request the use of courts 1,2, & 3.
Juniors (i.e. Family members' children under the
age of 11 for whom a subscription has been paid) may
play until 6.00 pm Mondays to Thursdays, 5.30 pm on
Fridays, the responsibility for their safety and
behaviour being on their parents. Non-playing
parents may play with Juniors at these times.
Juniors are reminded that they may only use Club
facilities when playing tennis. Bad behaviour or
misuse of Club facilities will result in the
imposition of restrictions.
Visitors
Each member may introduce up to 3 Guests in any two
week period but no Guest may play more than five
times per season. The charge per Guest per day is
£2.50 for Seniors and £1.50 for Juniors. The host
MUST sign all visitors into the Visitors' Book in
the Clubhouse before playing. All charges will be
collected with the annual subscription. Special
arrangements may be agreed for house-guests by
applying to the Treasurer.
No visitors are allowed on Match nights, Ladies
and Men's nights, or Friday Juniors' evenings.
General
Please try to avoid entering through the Bowling
Club. Please take particular care when retrieving
balls from the bowling green. Access to the Bowling
Club is forbidden at all other times.
All members are asked to help keep the Courts and
Clubhouse (including the kitchen) clean and tidy.
